We’ve come a long way since 2003.

We never set out to be a charity. It happened literally by accident. Now, after more than 22 years, Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon is one of the oldest, all-volunteer and continually active 501(c)(3) national public charities for the Troops. We’re based in New Jersey but have Adoptees, Benefactors and Friends all over the U.S.

We’ve Supported Our Troops in: Iraq, Afghanistan, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Red Sea, Africa, and around the world. And we are proud to help our Wounded/Recovering Vets live more “comfortably.”

AaSP is proud to announce we have a Chaplain! And a very special one at that- LtCol Keith Manry.

Ch, Lt Col Manry is the Wing Chaplain for the 436th Airlift Wing, Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. As the senior chaplain on the installation and the principal advisor to the Wing Commander on religion, morale, and ethical matters, he leads a team of 20 chaplains, religious affairs airmen, and civilian personnel in providing spiritual care and religious accommodation to over 6,000 active duty and reservist military personnel and their families. His team plays a critical role in sustaining the resilience and well-being of Airmen executing Dover’s global airlift mission, which employs the C-5M Super Galaxy and C17A Globemaster III to transport high-priority personnel and cargo worldwide. Additionally, they support Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations (AFMAO), the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System (AFMES) and the Joint Personal Effects Depot (JPED), jointly responsible for the dignified return of fallen American service members
